2013-14 TIPPCO Tryout & Rostering Procedures

 

Prior to tryouts:

  • Confirm with your current manager your intent to play soccer during 2013-14.

  • Go to www.tippco.org and pre-register for tryouts.

  • Confirm your account has a zero balance.  Any players who have not paid in full for Spring 2013 will not be rostered on teams until payment is received.   Questions can be submitted to Mary Jayne Downey (Soccer@tippco.org).

  • Scholarships are available.  Forms are available for download online and must be turned in before or at tryouts.  For privacy, forms can be mailed to TIPPCO @ PO Box 2034, West Lafayette, IN 47996-2034;  however they must be received by June 11th.

  • If you are unable to attend these tryouts, you MUST make alternate arrangements BEFORE June 11th.  Contact Tanya Hummels at tanyahummels@me.com to schedule your tryout.

  • If you are an existing TIPPCO player who is unable to attend any tryout sessions, you will have to rely solely on your existing coach and DOC evaluations.

On tryout day:

  • Bring the following to tryouts

    • Registration form (download from TIPPCO website/fill out in advance)

    • Parent Pledge (download from TIPPCO website/ fill out in advance)

    • Medical Release (download from TIPPCO website/ fill out in advance)

    • Copy of an official birth certificate for TIPPCO to keep (only for players who did not play in Spring 2013)

    • Ball, shinguards and appropriate footwear

    • Water bottle

  • Check in upon arrival.  Allow plenty of time.  Tryouts will begin promptly.

  • Pin on your tryout number.

  • Have your picture taken with number on.  Remember this number, as rosters will be posted using these tryout numbers rather than by player name.

  • Proceed to uniform tent for order form and sizing information.

Roster Offers

Teams will be listed on TIPPCO’s website by Tuesday, June 11th at 10:00 pm.  For privacy purposes, players will be identified by their tryout number.

  • HS players will have 36 hours (until June 13rd at 10:00 am) to accept or decline their offer. u14 & below will have 48 hours (until June 13th at 10:00 pm) to accept or decline their offer.

  • To accept an offer, click the Accept button on the tryout page and proceed to register in GotSoccer.  A registration fee of $100 will be required.  Only credit cards and e-checks will be accepted online.  Arrangements can be made for those who prefer to pay in cash by contacting Mary Jayne Downey (Soccer@tippco.org).

  • To decline a roster position, email Tanya Hummels (tanyahummels@me.com).   A player who does not respond by the deadline will be assumed to have rejected his/her offer and that roster position will be offered to the next player.

Registration and Payment

  • Payment must be made in full for 2013-14 by October 1st.

  • Payment plans are available by contacting Mary Jayne Downey (soccer@tippco.org).
